COMPETITION RULES

Here you will find the rules by which all basketball games during the tournament will be played. 
We will play according to FIBA rules. However, there will be some exceptions to these rules, they are as follows:

5 on 5 Round Games
  • 2 x 18 min halves.
  • No shot clock.
  • 2 min warm up, 2 min half time break.
  • 1 Time out per team per half, clock stops.
  • 3 mins for overtime.
5 on 5 Finals
  • The clock will stop in the last 2 mins of the game for all stoppages if the score is within 10 points.
  • 3 mins for overtime
  • Players must have played a minimum of 1 round game to qualify.

3x3 Round Games and Finals
  • 4 players (3 + 1 substitute
  • 1 x 10 minute period
    • ​Scorelimit 21 points, applies to regular playing time only
  • No shot clock
  • Time-outs: 1 per team.
  • Overtime: First team to score two (2) points wins the game.

At the conclusion of the competition, we will be recognising outstanding individuals and teams with divisional awards.
